Ode to the Pumpkin.

We went pumpkin patchin’ this weekend and got a couple of cute shots that I thought would be nice to share.  Here you go:

Pumpkins

(There was a band playing in the background and he was be-boppin’ along to the music.  Dancing is one of his new favorite activities.)

Corn

Here is G playing in the huge tub of corn.  It took him a minute, but he did like it after all.

This Pumpkin

Here is G searching for the best pumpkin.  Then we decided to leave them there.

Daddy is showing him the goats.  He really has no fear of any animals to date.  I hope that it stays that way.

Getting ready to take our sick-ish babe home.  I think that he had a lot of fun, and it got us out of the house before the winter weather arrives.

p.s.  I wish that I could knit a hat like this one I found for G last year on clearance.  I LOVE that hat.

“Um, Honey?  Uh, hmmm.  Well, those buttony snappy thingies go on the back babe.”

More building – it seems to be G’s favorite thing to do.  Even when he is sick and can’t hardly breathe.

Turns 1 Today!

Can you believe it?  Neither can we.

For this grand occasion, we thought we would show you this.

His New Favorite.

We’ve been trying to spend most of our days outside because the good weather is bound to stop sometime.  However, when we are indoors, G’s new favorite thing is to crawl up on the dog bed, roll around, and get very hairy.  His old favorite thing, of course, is to play with my Can-O-Breakfast.

So, we took that video of Grayson walking on Monday night.  Then on Tuesday when I was here alone, he pretty much stuck to crawling.  Dave got home that evening, and Grayson got up on his own and took about 10 steps without looking back.  I was shocked.  I mean, he could barely take three steps with rings in his hands 24 hours earlier.  Then on Wednesday, once his daddy got home, he walked for 10 feet.  He is picking up the pace quite quickly with this new endeavor.  I am pleasantly surprised.  He actually seems to want to walk over crawling today.

Well, here are some random pics of G playing inside his temporary toy hamper basket today.  (He couldn’t figure out how to get out):

Big News.

Dear Jo,

Grayson took his first three shuffle steps right before our eyes last night.  It was pretty cool.  (No, we did not get it on video – or film)

Happy Baby.

Today we have one happy boy.

Lately, this is harder to come by (darn teething) so I went ahead and took a short video.  Here it is:

1)  I love that when he fell, he wouldn’t take his hand off of the cart handle, and therefore could not right himself.  He finally did let it go and got out of that little predicament.

2)  He is so cute when he waves.  He is finally starting to do it more often.

3)  His hair is getting so curly as it is getting longer.  If you notice at the end, the right side of his head of hair is sticking straight out to the side.  I see this every time I get him out of his crib…and I love it.  Don’t you?

4)  While I was reviewing the clip, as it got to the end and you could hear my voice asking Grayson to wave,  I looked down at him on the floor by the computer and he was staring up at me, waving really BIG.  He must have been paying attention.
